Macdonald Ansty Hall Hotel
The Macdonald Ansty Hall Hotel is a listed Georgian mansion on the edge of Ansty village in Coventry. It has beautiful views of the countryside, and is an elegant retreat while remaining close to Cadbury World or Shakespeare’s hometown, Stratford-Upon-Avon. A must for chocoholics or theatre buffs! Set in 8 acres of grounds, there is plenty of space to frolic if you want to stay close to your room. The hotel is the perfect venue for weddings and functions, for up to 150 people. The Orangery suite has its own kitchen and dance floor. Feature function rooms include the Library and Drawing room, which boasts its own patio overlooking the gorgeous grounds.
The bedrooms at the Macdonald Ansty Hall Hotel are spacious and comfortable. The executive rooms and suites have contemporary decor and feature a rich plum colour scheme. The executives also have lovingly restored period features, which gives the place a real sense of history, without the faded grandeur element. The sash windows and fireplaces are lovely, as are the views over the gardens and the lovely picturesque village church. Perfect for that anniversary weekend or sneaky rendezvous! Some rooms have seating areas – a great place to collapse and gorge on the Cadbury World souvenirs!

The Macdonald Ansty Hall Hotel has two places for food and drink; the Shilton restaurant and the Warwick lounge. The Shilton restaurant offers elegant countryside cuisine such as Pigeon breast with black pudding and pine nuts (rich and delicious!) or Scottish Salmon filet. The finale is the warm chocolate fondant, which is accompanied by caramelised oranges. For more relaxed dining, the Warwick lounge offers sandwiches and hot drinks and more family orientated dishes.
Overall, the Ansty Hall is a perfect weekend retreat, or luxurious business venue. It is a chocoholic thespian’s delight!
